Get Inspired and Use Inspiration to Create The Life You Want!
We talk about taking action in your life on this website, and how it is the only way to really start getting the life you want. And that is true. With no action comes no reaction. But there are two types of action that you can take.
- You can take needed action which comes from the need to accomplish a task that you either have to do or have set out to do. This is normally for tasks that you already know how to do.
- You can also take inspired action which comes from using inspiration to motivate you to take action. Taking inspired action forces you to do things that you have never done before, which is ultimately what moves you forward in life.
Using inspiration is a learned process. We tend to dismiss our inspired ideas as non-achievable, unrealistic, or just plain wishful thinking. But the truth is we have learned to think like that throughout our lives from other peoples fears and beliefs, and we don’t actually know that to be true for ourselves – because we hardly have taking action on those inspirations, and when we do – we don’t keep going if we don’t see immediate results.
For instance, if you try to start a small business online but find that you are not succeeding, then you stop following your inspiration and go back to what you know for sure you can do, and what you know for sure works. You may have been 1 day away from success – but you stopped taking action.
The Basic Steps For Using Inspiration
Step 1 – Do Not Brush It Off as a Cuckoo Idea
When you get inspired to do something and it makes you excited – do not label it as wishful thinking or nonsense; Instead, look at it as an idea that may help you get closer to your dreams.
So if you suddenly are inspired to look into how much the business you want to own would cost to run, then try recognizing that inspired idea as an important step that can bring you closer to your dream of owning your own business.
Step 2 – Take Action on That Inspiration
Once you recognize the inspiration as an idea that can help you achieve your dreams – use the momentum of that moment to take action and do it. If you wait a few days you may lose that initial excitement that an inspired idea can give you. If you lose that excitement you may also lose the drive to do it. And if you don’t do it then you will never know if it would have helped you move closer to your dream.
Step 3 – Repeat
After you have taken inspired action you will start to find more moments of inspiration for you to take advantage of. Once you start to get into the habit of going for it, you will find it easier and easier to take that inspired action every time. And every time you take action you will be moving yourself closer towards you dreams.
That’s it!
I’m sure you’ve used this process before. Maybe you were inspired to have a career in something. You probably looked into what you needed in order to take the program that would help you obtain the career. Then you kept taking the steps to help you achieve finishing school and finally being employed in that career. If you never would have taken inspired action to look into the career – then you would not be where you are now.
Using inspiration results in achieving your goals and dreams. Recognize it, take action, and repeat.
